E-Fax How To Guide

Purpose: Guide to user control panel for sending, receiving, downloading and reviewing failed facsimiles.​ Responsible Team: HPI Support/ Tech Team​

Prerequisites: 

  1. Internet connection to your computer​

  2. Access to the UCP portal​

  3. Username & password for your location

Process

 

Go to the web address https://hpipbx.hpiinc.com/ucp/  

 

Use the login grid to the right for your location and login credentials.

NOTE: please do not share login info with anyone outside of PMB. You can share the fax DID (destination) number so you can receive faxes.

Once logged in you will see the Dashboard 

You will also notice to the left there are folders for all faxes received, archived, outgoing, sent and failed.

 

Send a fax: Click “Send Fax” to enter the destination number, add a cover sheet which can be found in New Billing Document Library . Drag and drop documents or click to upload. Then click “Send” to transmit.

 

BE SURE TO ADD THE 1+AREACODE+7 DIGIT PHONE NUMBER IN ORDER TO SEND FAXES. ENTERING NUMBER WITHOUT 1+ WILL CAUSE AN UNSUCCESSFUL TRANSMISSION

 

On the left of the dashboard there are folders for the following:​

  • Inbox for new received faxes ​

  • Archived folder for received and opened faxes​

  • Outgoing folder for faxes that are in sending status ​

  • Sent folder for sent faxes​

  • Failed folder for failed faxes ​

 

When reviewing any fax, you will use the controls section of the dashboard. ​From here you have the following options, remember taking these actions will MOVE the fax to the archived folder since it has been touched: ​

  • View in PDF​

  • Download​

  • Forward Fax​

  • Delete- Use of this is not recommended at this time.
