Availity- Admin Functions

Add Providers to the Portal

  • On the left click on My Providers

  • Click on Express Entry

    • Click on + Add Provider (this will be in a green box)

    • Enter the NPI then click Add Provider

The practice information will automatically populate:

  • We should be able to see practice name appear to the left. (all providers listed on the left are currently active in Availity)

  • If provider/ practice information is not listed in Availity; we will receive a message as "NPI: Availity could not find an NPI matching the one you entered below. If the NPI is correct, you can manually add the provider." So, please follow the “Step 2” process for adding the practice

  • After all information is populated click Save.

 

Add Secondary Tax ID:

Go to your account profile and click on Maintain Organization

on the right click Maintain Identifiers

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list to add a new secondary tax ID.

Identifier Type= “Secondary Tax ID”

Identifier= enter Tax ID for practice

Effective date- you can leave as is.

Comments= Practice Name

Check the box to agree on behalf of organization

Click Save.
